Floating Sound Bar Installation — No Cables In Sight
Mounting a sound bar so it floats below the TV with no cable showing is no easy feat, especially when the bar is very slim and the wall studs don’t line up with where it needs to sit.
That is exactly the job we do. The bar is centred to the TV, the gap is consistent, and the power and HDMI runs go inside the wall so nothing breaks the line.

Above Or Below The TV? Our Honest Opinion
Whether your sound bar goes above or below the TV is ultimately personal preference, and both will sound essentially the same.
That said, we think they look considerably better below the TV, and that is what we recommend in the vast majority of homes we work in. We’ve seen the recess-above approach done nicely, but below almost always wins.

Which Sound Bar Should You Actually Buy?
With sound bars you very much get what you pay for. You cannot expect the same audio from a $200 bar that you’ll get from a $2000 one.
As a rough guide: entry-level bars and non-household brands sit at the cheaper end; Sony, Samsung and JBL are a solid step up, and the more you spend within those ranges the better they perform; BOSE and SONOS sit at the premium end and are the ones we’re asked for most often.

Yes — that’s the whole point of the job. Power and HDMI runs go inside the wall cavity so the only things on show are the TV and the bar. Even on very slim sound bars where there is barely any depth to work with, we have ways of making it disappear.
Below, in our opinion, in almost every room. It’s personal preference and the sound quality is effectively the same either way, but below gives a far cleaner look. We’ll give you our honest recommendation for your particular room before we start.
It’s a different trade-off rather than strictly better. A sound bar means less clutter, fewer wires and far less to dust, and it will comfortably outperform your TV’s built-in speakers on both volume and quality. A full surround or home theatre system will beat it for immersion — and we build those too.
Sony, Samsung and JBL are reliable mid-range choices, and BOSE and SONOS are the premium options most of our customers ask for. We’d steer you away from very cheap non-household brands. Call us before you buy and we’ll tell you what actually suits your room.
